I was glad to get the feedback from my cohort and knew to take to heart their suggestions. I attempted the fade in that Joe had spoke of but was unable to do that with a visual so a just had the music start first. I didn't like when I said, 'Listen' at the beginning so I was able to edit that out. The music was not something I put a lot of time into choosing but appreciated that the cohort suggested something not so calm and spa-like as it would put my audience to sleep. I went with jazz and as a little nod to the vacation I hope to start enjoying once my projects are finished, I went with Charles Mingus doing Summertime. I was able to chose a part that was mostly piano but it does pick up a pretty intense drum line, so volume was worked with a bit. I went to school to video tape some kids. I guess I just wanted to make the video more authentic. It is not the most engaging piece of video but I was glad to try to add in video as a way to further learn the iMovie tool. Adding in the video meant that there needed to be more reworking of the visuals to fit what was being said in the audio. I took Karly's suggestion to take out the Maslow graphic. A really good idea seeing as I have that very graphic on the Home Page under the video.
Like most Apple products, I think that iMovie is extremely intuitive. I am not saying that I created an opus here, but I was able to throw something together with what feels like very little time.
